MSDN has posted a lengthy article describing Indigo, Microsoft's unified programming model for service-oriented applications. Indigo uses SOAP and other technologies to create reliable and secure transactional services. Indigo will debut in Microsoft's forthcoming version of Windows, codenamed "Longhorn".
