Review of the Sipura SPA-3000 VOIP Adapter

May 11, 2005

Geek Gazette has a review of the Sipura SPA-3000, a very unique VOIP adapter that can act as an analog telephone adapter for connecting a regular telephone to a VOIP provider or VOIP PBX, as well as act as a gateway between the regular telephone network (PSTN) and a VOIP provider. The later functionality allows you to dial into the gateway from the regular phone network and connect out through the VOIP network. For users of the open source Asterix PBX, the SPA-3000 can be used to bring a inbound and/or outbound PSTN trunk into the PBX. For more details about this interesting device, please read the review.
